When A Friend Is Lost

Do you ever bite your tongue when a friend says something that offends you? Do you tell yourself that they didn’t mean it the way it sounded to you?

If you find yourself doing that over and over, it’s possible the friendship has already ended.

I try not to be judgmental. We are all different. Even our sense of humor is different.

But is the quality of an insult the same with all of us? If you share a thought or something that happened with someone you thought was a friend, and they belittle what you’ve said and try to one-up you continuously . . . it can lead to resentment.

I guess it builds up. I guess, like some marriages, when the friendship ends, it’s really been dead a long time already.

This is not a funny post, but one that is on my mind.

I lost a friend today and sadly, I think for my own mental health, it may have been a good thing.

About msplayful

I am someone who finds life humorous and often share my views with friends and co-workers. Since I've been told I should be a stand-up comedian, I thought I'd see how well I could do at writing funny things that happen, or that happen in my head.
