I went out to go to the post office this morning. There sat Hunter in the middle of the driveway. I told her to move. I went towards her and said, “Shoo! Shoo!” She sat and watched me with slight interest. I tried the other thing I do that usually makes her move. I puffed myself up and hissed like a big cat. She sat there and watched as if at a movie. Not impressed one bit. I got in the car and started it up. I watched through the rear view mirror. You know how deer leap in movies – how high they seem to jump and how far they can go. Well, Hunter leapt like that when the car started. She sat in the grass glaring at me. That’s fine. She had moved.
She was back in the driveway when I came home. Oh, the expression on her face as if I were really annoying her this morning. But she got up and ran back to the grass and eyed me with anger as I pulled into the carport. That’s fine. She moved.
